The Show so Far!

Show opening extravaganza!
Day five of the Show, the half way point and we have seen over 38,000 visitors!

The opening to the Show at 11am on Friday 7 January literally went off with a bang! The wakeboarders hit kickers and sliders, jumped over freestyle kayakers and Christian Stevens, MC to the opening display was brought in on a stand up paddleboard to introduce Jodi Kidd to the Show.

The thousands of attendants to the Show have been able to listen to and meet their marine heroes live in the Knowledge Box and doing what they do best out on the water in the brand new, Watersports Action Pool.

Many have taken to the water themselves with the Have-A-Go sessions run by Rockley and Neilson being able to try wakeboarding, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, stand up paddleboarding and even driving a minature tug boat in the Mini Port Boats.

The Cruising Chute, has been an extremely popular feature attracting hundreds to learn how to successfully use and make the most from the sail.

As well as all the visitors having an array of activities to take part in there are boats being bought and people getting into boating. The Used Boat Marina, another hugely popular feature at the Show, was where the Sunseeker 72 was sold on day two of the Show and is attracting alot of attention from the public.

HRH The Princess Royal will once again be attending the Show tomorrow morning.  She will present the RYA Yachtmaster of the Year award on the RYA stand just after 11am before then having a tour of the Show’s attractions and visiting many exhibitors.
