Joining Mark and the crew aboard the Swan 68 is British match race/commentator Andy Green and 'sailing royalty' Sir Robin Knox-Johnson.
Titania of Cowes was built in Finland in 2000 and has travelled over 17,000 nautical miles from Newport RI for the Boxing Day start. This blue water yacht race attracts many of the international sailing elite and this year will see a first for round the world sailing legend Sir Robin Knox-Johnson as he enters this race for the first time.
The Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race is hosted by the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYC), starting in Sydney, Australia on Boxing Day and finishing in Hobart. The race distance is approximately 630 nautical miles (1,170 km). The race is run in co-operation with the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania, and is widely considered to be one of the most difficult yacht races in the world.
